Moving Together in May

May is often a month filled with events, gatherings, and meaningful moments. For AROMATICA, this May was no different. It was busy, lively, and full of memories.

We ran across the field with our colleagues, cheered for one another, and took steps for someone else. From Refresh Sports Day, where we shared sweat and encouragement as a team, to Weracle Walk, where we walked for children in Kenya waiting for access to clean drinking water, here are the moments AROMATICA employees created together in May.


Refresh Sports Day Returns

On May 27, 2026, AROMATICA held its Refresh Sports Day at the practice field of Suwon World Cup Stadium.

Refresh Sports Day is an annual company-wide event designed to bring together employees who work across the Seoul headquarters and Osan factory. It is part of AROMATICA’s organizational culture program, created to help employees communicate, connect, and strengthen collaboration beyond departments and workplaces.

This year, 132 out of 157 employees participated, reaching a participation rate of approximately 84%. Colleagues who do not often get to meet in person because of different workplaces and roles came together as one team, running, laughing, and getting to know one another more closely throughout the day.

On one side of the field, a familiar banner was hanging once again. It was the same banner that has been used for the past three years. Instead of producing a new banner every year, AROMATICA has made it a small tradition to reuse the existing one.

This choice began with a simple thought: to reduce resources that are made and discarded for a single day. Even in one-day events, the way AROMATICA considers sustainability is naturally reflected across our organizational culture.

This year’s Sports Day also had a special participant. As a pet-friendly company, AROMATICA welcomed Cheong, a dog who joined the event and quickly became the center of attention, receiving plenty of love from employees across the field.


Four Teams Inspired by AROMATICA’s Signature Botanicals

This year’s Sports Day was held with four teams named after AROMATICA’s signature botanicals. Each team began the day with energetic cheers, and employees spent the morning participating in relay missions that tested teamwork, cooperation, and communication.

As team members solved missions together and cheered one another on, they naturally built stronger connections and once again experienced what it means to grow together as an organization.

Missions such as “Wind Catchers” and “Challenge! 99 Seconds” could not be completed alone. They required everyone to work together. Thanks to these team-based games, colleagues naturally became closer, and laughter and cheers filled every corner of the field.


Having Fun, Sustainably

After a morning of running and moving together, lunchtime arrived. Even then, AROMATICA’s choices reflected our values.

Instead of disposable lunch boxes, lunch was provided through Green Order, an eco-friendly reusable container meal service. After the meal, employees returned the containers as they were, and the collected containers were washed and used again. The reusable containers used that day replaced 132 single-use lunch boxes.

In other words, a shared meal also became a practical step toward reducing unnecessary waste. AROMATICA continues to work on reducing single-use items and expanding more sustainable choices when operating internal events.

There were no disposable water bottles in sight either. Employees brought their own tumblers and refilled water from large water containers, naturally participating in reducing single-use plastic.

A small act of sharing was also added to the day. Jinsol Bae from the ESG Team prepared homemade brownies without single-use packaging and shared them with colleagues. They became a sweet gift that helped replenish the energy spent during the games.


Cheering Hotter Than the Competition

In the afternoon, the competition began in full swing. A soccer match between combined teams and a company-wide mixed relay followed, bringing even more energy to the field.

The soccer match, in particular, was especially exciting. Behind this energy was FC AROMATICA, the company’s mixed soccer club. Launched in March 2025, FC AROMATICA currently has 39 employee members and is open to anyone regardless of gender. It has become a popular space for healthy hobbies and friendly connection among employees.

As the match became a chance to show the skills they had built through regular practice, the field was filled with the voices of both players and cheering colleagues.

After a close competition, the Orange Team won this year’s Sports Day. They not only participated actively throughout the games, but also showed some of the most passionate cheering of the day. The Rosemary Team took second place.

The winning team and runner-up each received Shinsegae gift cards worth KRW 50,000 and KRW 20,000 as prizes.

MVPs were also selected to celebrate those who made Sports Day shine even more. Heekwon Lee from the Retail Team, AROMATICA’s sports leader, along with Woonki Baek from the R&D Center, Youngpil Yoon from the Production Planning Team, and Minhee Shin from the Compliance Team, were named this year’s MVPs.


This Time, We Walked for Someone Else

Before the energy of Sports Day had even fully settled, 11 AROMATICA employees gathered at Peace Plaza in Peace Park on Saturday, May 30. This time, they came together not for competition, but to walk for giving.

They participated in Weracle Walk, a donation walking campaign created to improve access to drinking water for children in Kenya.

At AROMATICA, opportunities to practice social value with colleagues through volunteer activities have continued steadily. Through employee participation-based social contribution activities, AROMATICA operates various programs that allow ESG values to be practiced in everyday life.

Across three activities held during April and May, a total of 42 employees participated, and six employees took part in more than one activity. Weracle Walk was also made possible through the voluntary participation of many employees.

Children in Kenya have to walk an average of 7 to 8 kilometers to obtain clean water. Along the long journey, they may be exposed to risks such as crime and wild animals, and even the water they finally reach is often not safe to drink.

Weracle Walk is a participatory campaign that raises awareness of this reality by inviting participants to walk 3.5 kilometers or 7 kilometers, indirectly experiencing the journey that these children face.

AROMATICA joined the campaign in support of its purpose and donated 30 body oil sets and 30 shampoo sets. Through products that could help participants wash away sweat after walking and add a small moment of rest to tired bodies, we hoped to share our encouragement.

The donated products were used as prizes and event rewards for the 2026 Weracle Walk, extending the meaning of sharing with participants.


A Meaningful Walk with Family

Three AROMATICA employees joined Weracle Walk with their families. Throughout the event, we could see employees walking hand in hand with their children.

“Why do they have to walk so far?”

“There are children who have to walk a long way every day just to get clean water. The water we drink so easily is something that can be very difficult for someone else to reach.”

Explaining the meaning of the campaign to children while walking together became a special experience for the adults as well. Some children complained from time to time that the walk was tiring, but after completing it, their faces were filled with pride. They were able to naturally understand that steps taken for someone else can carry more meaning than expected.

May was a month of running together, cheering together, and walking together. Through Sports Day, we experienced connection with colleagues. Through Weracle Walk, we experienced connection with society.

The two events were different, but they shared one thing in common: we can have more fun and go farther when we are together than when we are alone.

May, filled with many events, has now passed. But we hope you will continue to look forward to the new memories AROMATICA will create together.
