This is AROMATICA’s headquarters, where we work every day.
Lined along the walls are vibrant, colorful artworks that make the office feel less like a workplace and more like a small gallery. These pieces were created by artist Doyoung Kim, a member of AROMATICA’s Content Design Team. Thanks to her work, our familiar office space feels brighter, warmer, and more full of life.
Doyoung Kim is an artist with autism spectrum developmental disability. Drawing from memories of her childhood spent in South America, she creates works filled with vivid colors and free-flowing lines.
Her art often captures familiar scenes from nature, such as animals, plants, and landscapes, and reinterprets them through her own unique perspective. With bold color contrasts and distinctive compositions, her pieces immediately catch the eye — and invite you to keep looking.
Since January 2025, we have been working with Doyoung Kim on a range of visual projects. More than an external collaboration, this has become a shared creative journey within the same team, shaped by the everyday rhythm of working together.
Over time, her illustrations have naturally become part of many AROMATICA moments. It has now been over a year since we began this journey together. During that time, Doyoung Kim’s artwork has quietly and steadily found its place across various parts of AROMATICA.
Here is a brief look back at how that story has unfolded.
Our first collaboration began in May 2025 with a special Family Month edition. Illustrations inspired by the colors of nature and the forms of flowers she observed were applied to the packaging, giving the products a warmer and more vibrant feel.
The design felt especially fitting for gifts meant to be shared with loved ones.
The Christmas edition brought another opportunity to explore her work in a different way. Colors and patterns from Doyoung Kim’s existing artworks were reimagined and newly composed for the season.
As a result, the collection captured the joyful anticipation of Christmas in a natural and expressive way. Her signature vivid colors added an even clearer sense of warmth to the year-end mood.
More recently, Doyoung Kim has also been working on new digital drawings. The story centers around three bear siblings living in “Honey Village”: Popo, age 4, Lala, age 6, and Bobo, age 7.
One of the things she especially enjoys is dressing her characters in different costumes. By giving her bear characters outfits inspired by films, she creates completely different moods using the same familiar figures.
These small stories are gradually taking shape, and we look forward to seeing how they continue to grow.
As we passed April 20, Korea’s Day of Persons with Disabilities, we were reminded once again of the many different ways people can work together and create meaningful outcomes. Our time with Doyoung Kim is also part of that journey.
Across AROMATICA’s spaces, products, and everyday moments, her creative work continues to unfold. We hope you will follow the stories to come with warmth and care.
